Shout-out to my friend Laura who won imaginary points by guessing my desktop's background. It was indeed an image from How to Train Your Dragon!
Did you notice the two sticky notes in the background? Well, they create quite a problem for a neat-freak like me. On one hand, they're necessary to keep track of all my minor to-do's around the office. On the other hand, they stare me down all day long, a florescent reminder of all the things I haven't accomplished. Also, my monitor starts to resemble a bright-pink sunflower after a few days. So I set about devising a way to enable my sticky note habit, without the clutter.
I created a one-page To-Do Notes template and used a three-hole punch to slip the page into my binder. Then, I removed the sunflower of sticky notes from my monitor and placed them on my template.
These sticky notes weren't actually blank. I was just too embarrassed to show you my terrible handwriting.
It turns out that the tool to erase blemishes in pictures can also erase writing.
You can't see my chicken scratch very well in this one, so I let it be.
How about you? Do you have a sticky note habit too, or do you prefer another method for organizing minor tasks? Leave your message in the comment section. I'd love to hear about it!
