Okay, here are my small/ish goals for the month of June
Brainstorm ideas for more lifestyle posts and/or beg readers to add their ideas to my Google Doc (<--hint, hint).
If I had even half of the determination of the woman in the picture above, I'd be in good shape. But as it is, just looking at her makes me tired. I sit far too long in the computer chair all day. I love what I do, but my body needs to move!
My husband recently accepted a new job, so we've decided to move closer to his work. I'm thrilled about the move, but the hunt for an apartment/rental house has turned into a bit of a letdown (an overpriced letdown). I'm hoping that we'll find something we like before the month is up so that we can hold it for a possible move in July. Oh who am I kidding? I want to live in Venice, specifically the Doge's Palace. Minus the flooding, I think I'd quite enjoy it. And apparently the Venetians can get texts warning them of high tides, so there's that...
This one really hurts, literally. I love coffee, but it wreaks havoc on my stomach. I miss the days of youth, when I hurled all kinds of acidic foods into my stomach without consequence. Now I have to pop an antacid any time I even look at spicy food. I need to hire someone to slap my hand each time I reach for coffee. Mind you, I'm writing this with a glass of iced coffee by my side. Sorry stomach.
You may already know that I'm a self-described workaholic. I spend most of my time creating blog posts and educational resources, and I absolutely love every second of it. I'm extremely grateful to be doing what I love every single day. On the other hand, there's more to me than my work. So, I'd like to spend some more time creating things with my hands that don't involve a keyboard or computer screen. Who knows, maybe I'll even knit that hat I keep talking about...
I've already done this, so even if I fail at everything else on this list, I will not have failed completely. Besides, bonfires are the epitome of summer. There's something about the warm, night air and lazy conversation that makes everything feel right with the world.
That's it for my small goals. How about you? What are your small goals for the month of June? Blogger or not, I would love to hear from you. Leave your goals in the comments section, or if you're a blogger, follow the steps above to join the linky party!
