YELLOW BRICK ROAD MUSIC

Five Easy Musical Crafts for the End of Year

Do you ever discover fun music craft ideas online, save them for later, and then never try them? Me too. I used to pin ideas or save websites, thinking I’d get to them later. However, by the end of the year, many of those resources were left unused, partly because they didn’t really fit with what I was teaching at the time, and also because I just plain forgot about them.

The end of the year is a great time to break out those crafts (and maybe even do some painting outside). So, if you’re looking for some fun and unique things to try on that last day of music class, check out the resources below. Best of all, each resource gives the student something they can take home for the summer!

1. MAKE AN ORIGAMI PIANO

2. CRAFT A DIDGERIDOO
Make sure you get latex-free balloons in case of student allergies!

3. MAKE INSTRUMENTS FOR YOUR END-OF-YEAR LUAU!

4. SHAKERS TO ANNOY PARENTS FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER!!

5. BUZZING NOISEMAKERS

Have you ever tried any of these crafts in your classroom? If so, please share your experience in the comments section. I’d love to hear about it!

  1. I'm with you- I always pin these things and then forget about them >_<; This is a great reminder. You're right, the end of the school year is a great time to pull this stuff out!
