YELLOW BRICK ROAD MUSIC

It’s time for another small goals post, in which I share my small goals for the month of December in the hopes that some accountability will keep me in line (I’m still hoping).

First, let’s see how I did with my November goals.

Blog Redesign <–the initial mockups are in the works as I type
Product Revisions <–I revised my Middle School INB and published the Music History Bundle
Nanowrimo <– I made it halfway, but decided that sleep was more important. Maybe next year.
Be Graceful <– Our dance classes are great! We’re no Fred and Ginger, but we can keep a beat 😉

Now on to my December Small Goals…

FREEBIES FOR ALL
I plan to create a new freebie for you and post it here on the blog. I’m going to go over some ways you can decorate (on a budget) for the holidays, and I’m going to include some printable freebies you can use in your own house or apartment. Be on the lookout for the freebie this week.

NOT KILL MY ORCHID
A few weeks ago I impulse bought a “Just Add Ice Orchid”. Soon after the blooms fell off, I began to worry that I’d killed it. So, I read up on care and maintenance, and it turns out that the blooms falling is less a sign of it dying and more just a part of its natural cycle. Just to be safe, I replanted it in a new pot and trimmed it back. Fingers crossed that I didn’t inherit my mom’s black thumb. I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to keep it alive!

PROCRASTINATION-INDUCED MARATHON SHOPPINGDespite always intending to finish my shopping in November, it never seems to happen. Next year, I’m hoping to follow Karen’s Christmas Pledge Calendar. Until then, I plan on doing some online marathon shopping today to finish up.

Am I alone in this last-minute gift-buying frenzy? If so, how do you plan your own gift-guying? Please leave your tips and tricks in the comments section and don’t forget to link up below!

  1. Is shopping in December last minute? I always do my shopping during the first half of the month, because sales exist. If this is procrastination, I embrace it.

    1. I like the idea of finishing in November so that I can just sit back and enjoy the whole of December, Christmas Carols, cookies, and all. You should check out Karen's Christmas Pledge Calendar. That is my goal. Someday I'll achieve it when I'm better at adulting.

  2. Bwahaha… Don't kill the orchid. I swear…that's me completely!!! I have some kind of lily leafy something or other in a beautiful purple pot that I go for my birthday in May from my MIL. She knows that I love looking at plants but the uhm…actual…uhm…CARE for them is a little questionable. She trims it and pats it and waters when she comes by and although it is sadder than Charlie Brown's Christmas tree…it still has a little bit of life in it. LOL. My suggestion for keeping your orchid alive is NOT to give it to me! *giggle*
